Impact of Mental Health for People with a Physical Disability from Simple Forms of Employment that is Given to Them

People with disability are more susceptible to depression, especially people with a physical disability. This depression is cause by societal factors such as social isolation, lack of employment options, income instability and discrimination. This discrimination is evident when companies give the simple jobs, because companies see disabled people fit only to do those simple jobs. Unknowingly, these kind of jobs make the mental health and depression that disabled people experience, even worse.

Entrepreneurship and self-employment has been suggested for people with a disability because it is suggested to improve their mental health.

We are looking for data and statistics on disabled people, their types of employment and how it impacts their mental health, around the world. Because we hope to facilitate self-employment for disabled people, to improve mental health and quality of life for them.
