MUVi - Mobile UV Innovation
Problem: There are 200,000 HAIs in Australia every year. This makes Hospital Acquired Infections (HAI’s) the most common complication affecting patients in Australian hospitals. It kills more people every year than breast cancer and road accidents combined. It costs the Australian healthcare system over $14 million dollars per year.
Solution: MUVi is med-tech start-up trial-ready mobile Germicidal light device with disinfection detection sensor that detects and kills superbugs in hospitals. MUVi is configured to create “disinfection booths”, which allow high risk items such as IV poles, wheelchairs and beds to be disinfected with through “no touch” cleans. We have already collected early clinical data that we are looking to publish. We are looking for doctors and clinicians to get clinical evidence.
Clinicians can be from any department including Infectious Diseases, Theatre, ICU, ED, Surgery, Oncology, Neonatal Unit, Dialysis, BMT and other pathological labs.
