SMARTphone Based Cardiovascular Risk Reduction in BREAST Cancer Patients [SMART-BREAST]: A Randomized Controlled Trial

The aim of this study is to establish the efficacy of a smartphone-based cardiovascular risk reduction program in women undergoing treatment for breast cancer. This will be achieved by testing our personalized smartphone application "BreastMate", as an adjunct to standard care in a multi-centre randomized controlled trial. The efficacy of the smartphone app will be assessed in the following domains:
1. Exercise capacity
a. 6-minute walk test (6MWT)
2. Cardiovascular risk factor parameters
a. Blood pressure (mmHg)
b. Lipid profile (total cholesterol, LDL-cholesterol, triglycerides)
c. Fasting glucose levels and HbA1C
d. Smoking status assessed by self-reporting
e. Weight and body mass index (BMI)
3. Received dose intensity of chemotherapy (RDI)
4. Incidence of Cancer therapy related severe adverse events
5. Incidence of Venous thromboembolism
6. Quality of life
a. SF-36 questionnaire
